Migrating from PHP4 to PHP5

Wednesday January 21st 2009 folk.ntnu.no and org.ntnu.no was upgraded from PHP4.3.4 to PHP5.2.4.
This upgrade might have affected your PHP scripts, so we will provide some information on how to migrate.

We have turned off register_globals. Information about register_globals.
Use the predefined superglobals to fetch variables instead.

If you are using Innsida SSO for your pages you have to edit SSOclient.php

• Replace the line $sign = base64_decode(urldecode($sign64)); with $sign = base64_decode($sign64);
• folk.ntnu.no and org.ntnu.no has IPv6-support, but Innsida still only supports IPv4.
  You have to remove the IP-check in SSOclient.php
